Background Sounds is one of the new features that iOS 15 brings to Apple consumers. The feature was introduced ahead of WWDC in June 2021, and it helps users focus by playing sounds to drown out any distracting ambient noise. Similarly, Apple’s mobile operating system’s Background Sounds feature assists users by playing sounds that generate a sense of serenity.
Background Sounds are now available for eligible iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touch in iOS 15. Users can select from six alternatives in the feature: balanced noise, bright noise, dark noise, ocean, rain, and stream.
