Apple’s Calendar software comes preloaded on all iPhones and features useful notifications that help you keep track of all your future events. It’s an excellent tool, however, scammers have recently taken advantage of it to promote numerous advertising and scam sites.

You’ve been attacked by iPhone Calendar spam if weird random events have appeared on your iPhone’s Calendar app! It’s certainly aggravating, but many people are unaware that it can also be harmful.

How to Remove iPhone Calendar Spam

If your iPhone is running iOS 14.6 or later, do this:

  • Open Calendar app.
  • Click on the spam Calendar event.
  • Click on the Unsubscribe from this Calendar button at the bottom of the screen.
  • Select Unsubscribe to confirm.

If you have an older version of iOS, do this instead:

  • Open Calendar app.
  • Click on Calendars at the bottom of the screen.
  • Search for a calendar you’re unfamiliar with and click on the More Info button next to it.
  • Click on Delete Calendar.

Still, receiving spam Calendar events? Delete the calendar subscription in Settings:

  • Open Settings app.
  • Click on Calendar >> Accounts.
  • If you’re using iOS 13, click on Passwords & Accounts > Accounts.
  • Select Subscribed Calendars.
  • Look for a calendar you don’t recognize, click it, and then select Delete Account.
