  • Open Control Centre
  • iPhones with no Home button, pull down from the top right corner.
  • iPhones with Home button, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
  • Long tap Focus.
  • Select the Focus mode you want to activate.
  • Tap the three dots button next to a Focus for options to set this mode for a specific time.

How to Configure Apps and People for Focus Mode

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap Focus.
  • Tap Dot Not Distrub.
  • Tap the People section.
  • To choose the people who you will receive notifications from while using Focus Mode.
  • Tap the person or people you want to add, then tap Done.
  • Tap the Apps header at the top.
  • To choose which apps can notify you while using Focus Mode.
  • Select the apps you want to be able to notify you, then tap Done.

How to Customize Home Screen for Focus Mode

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap Focus.
  • Tap Dot Not Distrub.
  • Tap Home Screen.
  • Tap the Custom pages switch.
  • To choose which home screen pages appear, while using Focus Mode.
  • Select the home screens you wish to have access to in this Focus, then tap Done.

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap Focus.
  • Tap Dot Not Distrub.
  • Tap Lock Screen.
  • Tap the Dim Lock Screen switch. To have the lock screen dim in a focus mode.
  • Tap the Show On Lock Screen switch. To have silenced notifications appear on the lock screen.

How to Activate Focus Mode Automatically

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap Focus.
  • Tap Dot Not Distrub.
  • Turn On Automatically section and tap the blue Plus (+) button.
  • Select Time, Location, or App.
  • Tap the Smart Activation switch to activate it.

How to Create a Custom Focus Mode

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap Focus.
  • Tap the Plus (+) button in the top right corner.
  • Tap Custom.
  • Enter a name for the focus in the name field.
  • Select a color and icon, then tap Next.
  • Select the person or people who you want to be able to contact you in this Focus, then tap Done.
  • Select the apps you want to allow to send you notifications in this Focus, then tap Done.
  • Tap Allow Time Sensitive.
  • Tap Done.

How to Delete a Focus Mode

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap Focus.
  • Tap on the Focus want to delete.
  • Tap on the Delete Focus button.
